Former United States international Joe Gyau has left Borussia Dortmund to sign with Sonnenhof-Grossaspach in the German third division.
Gyau, 24, made only one appearance for Dortmund's first team.

He suffered a knee injury on international duty in his second appearance with the United States in October 2014 and has faced a long road back to full fitness.
After spending the past few years with Dortmund's reserves, he will he will hope to find more first-team action with the third-tier club, who already employ U.S. youth international Mario Rodriguez and goalkeeper David Yelldell, who earned one U.S. senior cap in 2011.
