Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Watford midfielder Adlene Guedioura for an undisclosed fee.
Middlesbrough agreed a fee in the region of £4 million with Watford for Guedioura and beat off interest from Hull to land the 31-year-old on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Boro boss Aitor Karanka has been keen to bolster his midfield options after losing out on previous targets Robert Snodgrass, Bojan Krkic and Jese.
Guedioura, who previously played for Wolves, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace, has only just returned from the African Nations Cup with Algeria, where he featured in all three group games.
Guedioura has made 12 Premier League appearances for Watford so far this season, but he has been unable to hold down a regular spot in Walter Mazzarri's side.
