Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Ramazan Ozcan is retiring from international football with Austria due to personal reasons.
Ozcan, 32, had been expected to play in next week's World Cup qualifier against Moldova as Austria coach Marcel Koller's first-choice keeper, Robert Almer, is still recovering from a torn ACL. Koller will announce a replacement on Tuesday.
"It's time for me to step back and direct my attention to my family,'' Ozcan said.
Usually a back-up for Almer in recent years, Ozcan made 10 international appearances for Austria, including the most recent qualifiers against Serbia and Republic of Ireland. He was part of the Austria squad for Euro 2008 and Euro 2016.
Ozcan played for Salzburg, Hoffenheim and Ingolstadt before joining Leverkusen last year.
