Chippa United will host defending champions SuperSport United while Golden Arrows take on Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup
Chippa advanced to their first ever semi-final of a South African cup competition with home wins over Witbank Spurs, Polokwane City and Jomo Cosmos, and striker Katlego Mashego believes another home draw against SuperSport is a massive advantage for the Eastern Cape outfit.
"The thing that we should be happy about is that we are playing at home," Mashego said after the draw. "The only time we want to go away is when we go to Durban to lift the cup."
SuperSport will be Chippa's toughest opponents in the tournament after a rather easy run thus far. However, the former Bafana Bafana striker says they will be well-prepared to deal with the Pretoria side's threat.
"I think at this stage of the competition you can't choose who you want to play, you've got to be ready to play anyone," Mashego added. "The only thing for us now is to focus on SuperSport and we'll see what happens, but we definitely want to play in the final."
Dates and venues for the semi-final fixtures are yet to be confirmed. The final of South Africa's Premier cup competition will be played on 24 June at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium.
