          Sampdoria's Luis Muriel and Tigres' Guido Pizarro set to join Sevilla

          Sevilla are set to sign Sampdoria striker Luis Muriel and Tigres midfielder Guido Pizarro subject to medicals, the club have announced.

          Colombia international Muriel, 26, arrived in Seville on Sunday and will undergo a medical before signing a long-term contract.

          A statement from Sevilla said: "Sevilla FC and UC Sampdoria have reached a preliminary agreement for the transfer of Luis Fernando Muriel, pending a medical. The Colombian international striker will sign a five-year contract with the club."

          Sevilla have not disclosed the transfer fee but AS claim it is €20 million, making the South American the club's most expensive signing ever.

          The Andalusian side paid a club-record €15m to Palermo last summer to land attacking midfielder Franco Vazquez.

          Muriel scored 43 goals and set up 33 more in 165 appearances during his six seasons in Italy and has found the net once in 16 international caps. He returns to play in Spain where he made seven Segunda Division appearances while on loan at Granada from Udinese in the 2010-11 campaign.

          Muriel, who scored 11 goals in 31 Serie A appearances for Samp last season, told the local press: "I couldn't wait to get here. I'm thrilled and delighted."

          Sevilla have also announced the arrival of midfielder Pizarro from Mexican side Tigres.

          The 27-year-old will also undergo a medical on Monday before signing a reported four-year contract with Sevilla.

          "Pizarro will not only look to continue his meteoric rise as a player but also be considered again for the Albiceleste under Jorge Sampaoli," a club statement said.

          The Buenos Aires-born player made his Argentina debut against Bolivia in a 2018 World Cup qualifier on March 28.

          Pizarro, who has played four years at Tigres, told reporters: "I'm sad to leave this club and this city.

          "I wish Tigres all the best. I'm also happy to take this step... this was the time to leave. It was one of my career aims [to play in Europe] and I've worked hard for this."
