Barcelona still hopeful of offloading Douglas, Munir El Haddadi - sources

Douglas and Munir El Haddadi both trained with Barcelona on Wednesday but the club remain hopeful of finding suitors for the pair this week, sources have told ESPN FC.

Marlon Santos and Sergi Samper's loan moves to Nice and Las Palmas respectively have enabled Barca to trim their first-team squad down to 26, but with sporting director Robert Fernandez expressing a desire to sign two more players this week, more still need to leave.

Sport says Benfica are close to signing Douglas on loan with an obligatory option to buy next year, while an agreement is reportedly in place between Barca and Torino for the transfer of Munir.

Munir, who spent last season on loan at Valencia, has not yet agreed personal terms with the Serie A side, though.

Zenit St Petersburg, Ajax, Roma and Crystal Palace have also shown an interest in Munir this summer but, until now, no club have met Barca's asking price, which is reported to be around €12 million.

Douglas, meanwhile, looks set to finally leave the Camp Nou having arrived for €5m from Sao Paulo three summers ago.

Others who could leave Barcelona before the transfer window closes in Spain on Friday include Andre Gomes and Arda Turan.

Portugal international Gomes has been linked with both Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain this week, while Barca coach Ernesto Valverde's exclusion of Turan so far this season has made it clear the forward does not have a future at the club.

Galatasaray confirmed earlier this month they were working on a deal to bring Turan back to the club where he began his professional career, but there has been little in the way of progress since.
