Man Utd target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic worth more than €90m - Lazio director

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has said it will take "much more" than €90 million (£79m) to persuade the club to sell Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Midfielder Milinkovic-Savic is reported to be a target for Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, but Tare said Lazio had turned down offers of around €80-90 million because they do not think they reflected the Serbia international's value.

"We know where we want to get and I don't like to talk about it now because we're in the midst of a battle for many important objectives and there is a time and a place to talk about things," he told Sportitalia.

Asked whether €80-90 million was a fair valuation, he said: "Yes -- even much more. There have already been offers in this region last summer and we didn't consider them.

"There are major European clubs interested in Milinkovic-Savic, but we don't have anything definite on the table."

Meanwhile, Tare confirmed speculation that Dutch defender Stefan De Vrij will move to Inter Milan on a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer.

"The only thing I hope is that until the end of the season he gives his best for Lazio, as he has done up to now," he said.

"There is a good chance that he'll go to Inter, let's put it that way. I think I can say that without giving too much away."
