Perth Glory have signed Spanish midfielder Juan de Dios Prados Lopez for the next two A-League seasons.
The 31-year-old, known as "Juande," came through the youth system at Real Betis and made his La Liga debut against Real Madrid in February 2007.
After four years with Betis, the former Spain under-21 international headed to Belgium side Westerlo, before returning to Spain and joining second tier side Ponferradina.
He then spent three seasons with Italian Serie B side Spezia.
"I haven't seen many A-League games," Juande said.
"But it doesn't matter if it's a tough physical league like Serie B in Italy, or more technical like the leagues in Spain, I can adapt my game to both styles.
"I spoke to many other Spanish players who have played in the A-League and they all spoke very highly of it, so it was an easy decision to make."
Juande is the latest signing under new coach Tony Popovic, who has also recruited Jason Davidson, Matt Spiranovic, Fabio Ferreira, Tomislav Mrcela, Ivan Franjic and Tando Velaphi.
Glory's new-look squad will be put to the test on Monday when they take on Premier League powerhouse Chelsea at Optus Stadium.
