Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira has joined Vitoria Setubal on loan.
Pereira, 22, was part of Jose Mourinho's squad for the tour of the United States but signed a season-long deal with the Portuguese side after arriving back in Manchester on Wednesday.
The keeper, who has made three senior appearances for United, was third choice behind David De Gea and Sergio Romero last season, but after the £2 million summer arrival of Lee Grant from Stoke has been allowed to move for regular first-team football.
It will be his third loan spell since joining United in 2012, having also spent time at Rochdale and Belenenses.
Jose Mourinho is confident that Pereira, a Portugal under-21 international, can become first choice at United in future but said during the tour of the U.S. that he would need to get games under his belt to help his development.
"We did Lee Grant because we have a fantastic young goalkeeper who needs to play football," he said in Los Angeles.
"I really believe Joel is a Manchester United goalkeeper, but he cannot be two years without football -- he has to play.
"To protect that position we have Lee, we've known Lee for a long time, he has experience in the Championship, also with Stoke City in the Premier League, he's more than ready to fulfil that position and allow the development of Joel."
