Fifty-one wins and a fourth seed in the Western Conference? Good, but not good enough to ward off the Trail Blazers' dramatic aggregate 269-spot drop across our eight main categories. After landing in the top 40 in ownership, coaching, players, fan relations and stadium experience in 2014, Portland boasts zero such rankings this time around. Maybe, just maybe, this new-look Ultimate Standings profile has to do with the new-look Blazers? Thanks to free agency and trades, they lost four members of the 2014-15 season-opening starting five ... including big man LaMarcus Aldridge. Yep, that'll do it.
What's good
Fresh faces or no, Portlanders still enjoy a night out at the Moda Center -- the team's two highest rankings came in bang for the buck and stadium experience. Fine dining choices abound (pressed pork belly Cuban sandwiches, anyone? Hand-dipped chicken strips?) and come without a hefty entrance fee: Both ticket prices ($52.90) and cost per game ($76.07) ring in below NBA average. And, of course, there's at least one face Blazers fans will welcome seeing come game nights: exciting point guard Damian Lillard, who agreed to a five-year, $120 million extension this summer.
What's bad
The names on the back of the jerseys -- Vonleh, Plumlee and Aminu, instead of Aldridge, Matthews and Batum -- kick-started a ripple effect in Portland. And not the good kind. The loss of Aldridge, in particular, a 20-and-10 bell cow who notched the league's 11th-best PER in 2014-15, helped the Blazers to their lowest players ranking (63) since 2012 -- and a 43-spot plunge in just one year. Perhaps in related animosity, the team's ownership dropped a whopping 60 slots in the wake of its failure to retain the team's core.
What's new
It's no secret that the Blazers have hit the reset button. The talented nucleus that just two seasons ago notched the team's first trip past the first round since 2000 has been dismantled. And in turn, the fans' outlook on Portland's prospects for future titles has come undone. After back-to-back years of improving title track rankings (No. 74 in 2013, No. 64 last year), that category has plummeted to No. 98 in 2015.
