Aaron Hernandez jury reaches verdict

FALL RIVER, Mass. -- The jury deciding whether to convict former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez of murder has reached a verdict.

The jurors had deliberated for around 35 hours since last week. They appeared briefly in court Wednesday morning, their seventh day, before leaving to continue their work.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancée.

Little is known about the seven women and five men on the jury. During jury selection, each filled out a confidential questionnaire asking things such as whether they were Patriots fans and whether they had attended Patriots games. The judge questioned each one privately.

One juror was later removed from the case for apparently misrepresenting her answers.

Two others were removed for undisclosed reasons.
