EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall injured his right toe on a play early in the third quarter against the Giants on Thursday night, causing him to hobble off the field and get carted to the locker room.
He was eventually downgraded to out for the game. The Giants went on to win 32-21.
Hall was hurt on a pass play and could be seen hobbling before the play had ended.
Hall will receive an MRI Friday on his toe. Coach Jay Gruden said he's concerned that it might be a long-term issue.
Injuries continue to plague Hall, who missed time this camp with a toe injury on the other foot. He also missed 15 games last season with an Achilles injury.
The Redskins felt good about their cornerback depth when camp opened, but they cut disappointing second-round pick David Amerson earlier this week. If Hall has to miss any time, Bashaud Breeland would start opposite Chris Culliver. with Will Blackmon serving as the nickel cornerback. Justin Rogers remains sidelined with a foot injury; he has missed the last two games.
Also, Redskins guard Shawn Lauvao injured his left ankle in the first quarter against the Giants and did not return.
