Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph (ankle) active against Bengals

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph will be active against the Bengals on Sunday.

Rudolph, who sustained an ankle injury against the Panthers last week, was initially listed as doubtful on the final injury report of the week. His status was upgraded to questionable on Saturday morning.

The tight end went through warm-ups at U.S. Bank Stadium earlier Sunday morning and did not appear to be favoring his injured ankle.

Minnesota signed second-year tight end Kyle Carter from the practice squad to 53-man roster late last week to bolster depth at the position with Rudolph's status in question and the move of Blake Bell to injured reserve. Mike Zimmer confirmed Bell will eventually need surgery to repair his injured shoulder.

Between Rudolph, Carter and David Morgan II, who is back for the first time since entering the concussion protocol in Atlanta, the Vikings have three active tight ends in Week 15. Rudolph is Minnesota's top red zone scoring threat, notching six of seven touchdowns inside the 20-yard line this season. He's tied for second in targets with 75 and has 506 yards receiving in Minnesota's first 13 games.

As expected, left tackle Riley Reiff (ankle) will not play Sunday. He will be replaced by reserve tackle Rashod Hill, who has not started at left tackle since his college days at Southern Mississippi. Hill has filled in at right tackle for Mike Remmers since Week 8. Remmers is back for the first time since October along with rookie center Pat Elflein, who missed the Carolina game with a shoulder injury.

Mackensie Alexander (ribs) was ruled out on Friday.
