Miami Dolphins WR Preston Williams (foot) out for game after scoring TD

Miami Dolphins receiver Preston Williams suffered a foot injury and has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Williams was carted off the field in the second quarter after suffering the injury while catching a touchdown pass from Tua Tagovailoa. He hobbled to the sidelines after celebrating the score.

He spent a few minutes in the medical tent and then his day was over.

The Dolphins are already light on offensive playmakers with lead running back Myles Gaskin being placed on injured reserve with a knee injury, change-up running back Matt Breida being ruled out of Sunday's game with a hamstring injury, and receiver Lynn Bowden Jr. being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Williams had 14 catches for 228 yards and three touchdowns this season as one of the Dolphins' starting outside receivers. Speedy receiver Jakeem Grant will need to step up in Williams' absence.
