Miami Dolphins' defense gaining more respect with Shaq Lawson's TD at Arizona Cardinals

The Miami Dolphins' defense wants respect, and they made an early statement Sunday when Emmanuel Ogbah got a strip sack of Kyler Murray that his tag-team partner, Shaq Lawson, scooped up for the first touchdown of the game, giving Miami a 7-0 lead.

The Dolphins showed they were sending six players on the blitz, but two dropped in coverage late, which confused Murray and caused him to hold the ball on third-and-3 in the Dolphins' zone.

It was Ogbah's career-high seventh sack of the season in eight games and he has a sack in five consecutive games. It was the first NFL fumble recovery and touchdown for Lawson.

The Dolphins' defense has scored touchdowns in back-to-back games for the first time since 2017. Miami has the NFL's No. 1 scoring defense headed into Week 9.

Miami has a takeaway in 14 consecutive games, second-longest streak in the NFL (Baltimore, 21).
