49ers' Deommodore Lenoir scoops up blocked kick for a 61-yard TD

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The San Francisco 49ers special teams have yielded more than their share of points to opponents this season. But just as the Arizona Cardinals were set to tie Sunday's matchup with a field goal, that unit offered some penance for its past mistakes.

As the Niners clung to a three-point second quarter lead, Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland set up to boot the game-tying field goal. Ryland's kick was a bit low, as Niners defensive tackle Jordan Elliott got his hand up to block it. Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir scooped it up and raced 61 yards for the first touchdown of his career.

The extra point made it 20-10 Niners with about five minutes left in the first half.

It was the Niners' first blocked field goal return for a touchdown since Week 3 of 2009 against the Vikings.
