Aaron Curry, the No. 4 overall pick of the 2009 NFL draft, announced his retirement via Twitter on Wednesday.
The linebacker's decision came three days after he was released by the New York Giants.

Originally selected by the Seattle Seahawks out of Wake Forest, Curry spent his first three years in Seattle before playing his last two campaigns with the Oakland Raiders.
Curry, 27, enjoyed his best season in 2010, collecting career highs of 73 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
