Who should trade for the Sedin twins?

Because Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin have been the face of the Vancouver Canucks since they debuted during the 2000-01 season, it would be tough for fans to see them wearing any other jersey, but the organization needs nothing more right now than to trade the superstar twins.

Vancouver has lost nine straight games and dropped to second-to-last place in the Pacific Division. The Canucks are 15th in the NHL in even-strength Corsi for percentage, which suggests they are closer to a mediocre team than a lottery team, but there is no statistical reason to believe they will climb out of the early-season hole, as the Anaheim Ducks did last season.

The Canucks are severely lacking in depth at both forward and on defense, and have a past-his-prime goaltender making $6 million. This season's struggles may be the final straw for ownership, which should have bought into a full rebuild several years ago. But judging by the offseason signing of veteran Loui Eriksson to a long-term contract, a teardown was something the owners did not support. Now they are left with no other choice.
