Their first meeting took place at the Arms Park in Cardiff in 1952 when the tourists won 17-3.
Their next clash camd in 1961 when the Barbarians triumphed 6-0, also in Cardiff.
The two sides met again in 1970 when South Africa were triumphant 21-12 at Twickenham in England.
In 1994 the Barbarians levelled the all-time match score with a 23-15 success at Lansdowne Road in Ireland.
The two sides' most recent clash came in 2000 when South Africa won an entertaining clash 41-31 at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
