Saracens ran eight tries past Boland for a 52-20 win in the final friendly of their South Africa tour. Eddie Jones' men bounced back from their defeat to the Stormers with a comprehensive win over the Currie Cup side.
Sarries started slowly and went behind to a try from Boland outside-centre Godwin Damon, but thanks to braces from centres Andy Farrell and Brad Barritt they quickly found their stride. Justin Melck, the former Stormers and Munster flanker who is currently on trial with Sarries, also crossed for a try.
"For the team to spend time together is really important and to come to a beautiful country like South Africa when you are living in London and get to see the sunshine like we did today is good for the boys," said Jones. "We'll do a couple of hard training days now and this is all good for team cohesion and its also good to play on some nice hard grounds as we prepare to go into the back end of the season.
"I thought Mickey Wilson did really well and Brad Barritt probably played one of his better games for the club, then we had two young back rowers out there in Jackson Wray and will Fraser who are over here with the Western Provence Academy so that's a great experience for them.
"I think we wanted to get a bit of confidence in shifting the ball around and we put a bit of pressure on ourselves. I think at the end we played measurably better than we did at the start of the game."
