KANSAS CITY. Mo. -- Running back Jamaal Charles isn't the only great Kansas City Chiefs player to finish his career with another team. Here is a look back at some others:

TE Tony Gonzalez: The Chiefs traded Gonzalez at his request to the Atlanta Falcons in 2012. He went on to have five big seasons in Atlanta and even won a playoff game with the Falcons, something his Chiefs teams were unable to do. Gonzalez scored a touchdown at Arrowhead Stadium and then performed his signature dunk over the goalpost in his only game against the Chiefs, in 2012.

DE Neil Smith: The Chiefs released Smith, one of their all-time leaders in sacks. He joined the Denver Broncos, for whom he played on two Super Bowl winning teams, and finished his career with the San Diego Chargers.

CB Albert Lewis: One of the best cornerbacks in Chiefs history, Lewis left Kansas City as a free agent in 1994 to sign with the Los Angeles Raiders. He played five seasons for the Raiders, including four after they returned to Oakland.

DE Art Still: A great player for some bad Chiefs teams of the late 1970s and 1980s, Still was traded to the Buffalo Bills in 1988. He played two seasons for the Bills.

WR Dwayne Bowe: Second only to Gonzalez in career Chiefs receptions, Bowe was released by the Chiefs in 2015, just two years after signing a lucrative, long-term contract. He played one season with the Cleveland Browns after leaving Kansas City, including one uneventful game against his former team at Arrowhead Stadium.

RB Larry Johnson: He was about to pass Priest Holmes as the Chiefs' all-time leading rusher in 2009 when he was abruptly released at midseason. Johnson played for the Cincinnati Bengals, Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins after leaving the Chiefs. He played one game against Kansas City, for the Bengals in 2009.

K Jan Stenerud: The first kicker selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Stenerud played four seasons for the Green Bay Packers and two for the Minnesota Vikings after being released by the Chiefs in 1980. Measured by field goal percentage, his three best seasons came after he left the Chiefs.
