Drew Brees on stage, Kenny Vaccaro in Kenya, Cam Jordan visits troops

Drew Brees was jamming on stage with Kenny Chesney and Matthew McConaughey. Kenny Vaccaro and Alex Okafor spent the week with children in Kenya, where they're helping to build a school. And Cameron Jordan went on his first USO trip to visit troops in Southwest Asia as the New Orleans Saints embarked on an impressive variety of charitable activities.

Vaccaro and Okafor, two longtime close friends who became teammates when the Saints signed Okafor last month, spent the week in Kenya teaching and playing with children as part of the Blessed Hope project. They are buying land and raising money to build a school for 300 children. Vaccaro shared a video of the experience on social media.

Jordan, meanwhile, joined fellow NFL standouts Delanie Walker and Byron Maxwell on the USO trip through Southwest Asia, sharing pictures and thoughts on social media along the way.

And Brees stayed close to home for his foundation’s biggest annual fundraiser, which always packs plenty of star power.

The Brees Dream Foundation annually teams with McConaughey’s just keep livin foundation for the Amazing Race weekend in New Orleans, which was highlighted this year by a Chesney concert in the House of Blues. Brees shared a picture of the trio on stage together, with guitar in hand.

Brees, his wife, Brittany, McConaughey and McConaughey's wife, Camila Alves, also spent time with country stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who kicked off their world tour in New Orleans.

And to top off the weekend, Brees saw an almost-relative win the Masters. As ESPN’s Mark Schlabach pointed out, Sergio Garcia is engaged to Brees’ cousin.

Players will be back to work – at least on a part-time basis – next week when the Saints kick off their offseason conditioning program on April 17.
