Golovkin by KO

Jacobs is a tremendous fighter, but Golovkin is on the cusp of greatness and will have too much firepower.

Jacobs is too brave, but Golovkin wins in five or six rounds.

Jacobs has impressive power that may give Golovkin some trouble early on, but Triple G's accuracy will gradually wear down his challenger and force a late stoppage.

Golovkin by KO

Jacobs is a step up physically and technically from what Golovkin has been fighting. Jacobs will show it by hurting him and outboxing him early, but in the end it will come down to chins, and the relentless GGG will wear down Jacobs and stop him in the 11th round.

Golovkin by KO

Although Jacobs has won 12 straight since, I can't get the picture of Dmitry Pirog starching Danny with a single right hand out of my mind. To me the only question is how long it will take for GGG to land a bomb.

I think Jacobs presents more danger than anyone Golovkin has faced yet as a pro, but I don't see Daniel being able to absorb all the fire coming back at him. This should be an edge-of-your-seat, back-and-forth fight for three or four rounds, but before long, Golovkin will start hurting Jacobs -- quite possibly to the body -- and then it's only a matter of time.

Golovkin by KO

Golovkin is going to win by KO because he will press as he always does. GGG will impose the rhythm of the fight, and his advantage on punching power will be the difference.

Golovkin TKO8

I expect Jacobs to be a real test for GGG, but at the end of the fight I see Golovkin extending his number of knockout victories.

Golovkin by KO

Golovkin is a very good fighter who is undefeated with a good chin and is a hard puncher. Jacobs is also a good puncher -- his record speaks for itself -- but I'm leaning toward Triple G by a KO in the late rounds.

Golovkin by TKO

Jacobs will present a challenge for Golovkin early on if he utilizes his footwork. Jacobs' skill level will be evident, but eventually GGG will corner him and finish him in the second half of the fight.

Golovkin by TKO

Jacobs is the taller, faster boxer. He is a good, solid puncher with unequivocally the toughest fighting spirit inside the ring and out. Though Jacobs is a well-rounded fighter, he has not dominated his opponents like Gennady has. GGG puts on a lot of pressure, he is relentless; he tears his rivals apart either with colossal haymakers or by stalking them and blow by blow driving them to frustration -- pressure that Jacobs in the past has not handled well.

Golovkin by TKO

The mobility of Jacobs will complicate Golovkin in the the first few rounds until GGG makes adjustments and take control. When Golovkin connects with his power punches, the fight ends. Another result will be a surprise.

Golovkin by decision

Jacobs should give Golovkin a good fight, although in the end, GGG power will prevail. Jacobs, however, will extend the fight and that will allow us to enjoy some action, although I see Golovkin winning by decision.

This guy cannot be beaten. Period. If the key is to see who hits harder, Jacobs is done. Jacobs does not have the chin to take GGG's power punches.

Jacobs by KO

The only stumble by Jacobs was a TKO loss to Dimitry Pirog in 2015. Since then he has won 12 fights in a row, all by stoppage. Golovkin, for his part, was exposed in a victory over a smaller Kell Brook. If Jacobs, who is a natural middleweight, goes out to fight like he did against Peter Quillin, I see him prevailing, even though it sounds crazy! And by KO.
