July is a very important period for college coaches and recruiting analysts. Our scouts will be covering events across the country the entire month. Here is a look at who our scouts are most excited to see this July:
Adam Finkelstein: Kuran Iverson, SF (Windsor, Conn./Northwest Catholic)
His stock was revitalized this spring with steady performances on the AAU circuit and a big showing at the NBPA Top 100 Camp, but now the question remains whether or not he can sustain that high level of play with all eyes on him this summer. For Iverson, it's always been about effort and efficiency. When he gives effort and plays the percentages, he typically is efficient. If he can do that this summer, he'll be moving up the rankings for the first time in two years.
Paul Biancardi: Kasey Hill, PG
(Eustis, Fla./Montverde Academy)
Hill has blazing end-to-end speed that makes him almost unstoppable in transition. The faster the pace, the better he can impact the outcome of a game. His dribble allows him to get wherever he wants on the court and allows him to score or set up a teammate. The Florida commit had an incredible performance at the National High School Invitational in March and it will be interesting to see if he can match it this summer. When he drives the lane, he can draw the defense and deliver an assist or finish at the rim with good body control and focus. Hill is also a capable shooter and possesses quick feet and active hands on defense.
