After missing out on several of their top quarterback targets in the 2017 recruiting class, the LSU Tigers landed the top-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the ESPN 300 on Monday, Lowell Narcisse.
The 38th-ranked player in the country verbally committed to LSU over Auburn, a team he was previously committed to, and Alabama among many other schools.
The 6-foot-3, 224-pound left-handed passer from St. James (Louisiana) High School, becomes the second ESPN 300 quarterback to commit to the Tigers in the past two weeks. Myles Brennan, the ninth-ranked pocket passer in the ESPN 300, also committed to LSU back on April 23.

LSU had a commitment from one of the top quarterbacks in the country, Feleipe Franks, in last year's class, but Franks' late flip to Florida left the Tigers scrambling to find another quarterback. The Tigers were finally able pick up a commitment from three-star quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr. late in the process, but the position became a huge priority for the 2017 class.
In his career, the senior-to-be has thrown for 5,433 yards and 64 touchdowns and has also rushed for 2,344 yards and another 34 touchdowns.
With the addition of Narcisse, LSU now has seven commitments including five which are ranked in the ESPN 300. The Tigers currently have the 12th-best recruiting class in the country.
