It's still early in the recruiting cycle for 2014, but it's never too early to look at some developing battles on the recruiting trail between Michigan and Ohio State. There are already 30 prospects from the 2014 class who hold offers from both the Wolverines and Buckeyes so far, and Michigan has secured a commitment from one of those prospects in linebacker Michael Ferns (St. Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville).
Here is a look at a few of the prospects both schools are vying for.
DB Damon Webb (Detroit/Cass Tech): Both schools are among Webb's top four along, with Michigan State and LSU. He has taken visits to Michigan and Ohio State, but it seems as though the Wolverines have the upper hand. There is a good chance Michigan and LSU are the top two for the Watch List defensive back. Webb's season isn't quite over yet, as his team is playing in the state finals, but his recruitment should pick up around spring time.
