Haas unsure if testing problems are same as Ferrari's

Haas boss Guenther Steiner is unsure whether the team's issues during winter testing are related to a wider problem with Ferrari's engine.

Haas completed just 23 laps on Tuesday after encountering an issue with the fuel sensor. Tuesday also saw Kimi Raikkonen's running limited after encountering a gearbox issue, his third consecutive day in the car with some sort of problem.

That has led to suggestions reliability might be a concern with Ferrari's new 2016 power unit but Steiner has played down the relevance of Haas' most recent setback.

Asked whether the part that failed on Tuesday was from Ferrari, Steiner replied: "A mix of parts. It's our part because it is in our car. I don't know what problems they have. They know what we have got but I don't know what they have got so I can't answer."

Steiner is not concerned by Tuesday's limited running as long as the team can adequately make up for lost ground.

"As long as we get out again [on Wednesday] and run, I am pretty happy. We had a good week last week and cannot complain. It cannot go perfect all the time. I hope that we can run the next few days because otherwise frustrations set in pretty quick."
