Arsenal and Manchester City are keen on Australian youngster Daniel De Silva, sources have told ESPN FC.
De Silva, 17, is regarded as one of the best young players to have ever emerged from Australia and has attracted the interest of most of Europe's top clubs.
Roma have agreed a deal with Perth Glory to sign De Silva next year, though the Gunners and Premier League champions City have been keeping tabs on the attacking midfielder's progress and are looking to see if they can hijack the deal and lure De Silva to England next year.
De Silva made his debut for Perth Glory as a 15-year-old, making him the second-youngest player in A-league history.
De Silva came close to a move to Everton in 2013 after being spotted by Toffees scouts, and was offered a deal to move to Goodison Park.
However, the move fell apart due to work permit issues and he instead signed professional terms with Perth Glory.
De Silva has represented Australia at under-20 level.
