Jeremy Menez admits he is not pleased with the way AC Milan's season is going, but insists he is still happy at the Serie A club.
Menez, 27, arrived at the Rossoneri from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and, under the guidance of Filippo Inzaghi, the preseason expectations were high.
After missing out on a place in Europe for the first time in 16 years, Milan were bidding to bounce back, but things have not gone according to plan in spite of the Frenchman's 15 goals.
Going into the final 10 games of the season, they find themselves eight points adrift of the top six and a place in the Europa League next season, in eighth position.
"Sadly the results are not going all that well and this is disappointing for me," said the 27-year-old in a Google+ chat session published on the club's official website. "But I always try to give it my best to help my team.
"I'm very happy to be at Milan. I'm sorry we're not in the Champions League, but it's an honour to wear this shirt and we'll do all we can to get back into Europe because the fans deserve it."
Philippe Mexes also took part in the chat session and he insists qualifying for Europe next season is not yet beyond Milan, although he admits times have changed since when he first arrived at the club.
"I was surrounded by champions, playing with some really great players, but then there was a big change," he said. "But now we've got to try to give it our best always to get back to the top. We need to do well in the next 10 games to get into the Europa League.
"We know it will be hard, but we are Milan and we have a great responsibility wearing this shirt, which is renowned the world over."
Milan still have some tricky fixtures to come, with the city derby against Inter next month for which they will be the nominal away team, and home games against Sampdoria, Roma and Torino -- all sides currently above them in the standings.
They must also go to Napoli on May 3, by which time it will be clearer whether they still have a chance of returning to Europe next season.
