MUNICH -- Bayern Munich say winger Franck Ribery's ankle injury has failed to respond to conservative treatment and that his right foot has been immobilised.
The Bundesliga champions declined to outline other details about the injury or further treatment, and did not give any estimate for the Frenchman's return.

Ribery has not played since injuring the ankle in March in the Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk.
The 32-year-old winger told Bild newspaper on Wednesday that he could not say whether he would be ready for the July 1 start of Bayern's preparations for the new season.
"We're going to support Franck fully throughout his healing process," said Bayern's director of sport, Matthias Sammer, on their website.
"We hope he will be able to return to action soon."
