Jan Vertonghen passed a significant career milestone over the weekend when the centre-back picked up his 100th international cap for Belgium.
The 31-year-old defender brought up his century with a friendly against Portugal and a rather special VIP guest was invited along to do the honours.
When your Mum surprises you with your 100th cap... ❤🇧🇪

Indeed, Vertonghen was initially visibly perplexed to see his mother, Ria, emerging from the tunnel before kick-off before things eventually became clear.
The Red Devils went on to produce a rather dull goalless draw against Portugal at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels, also losing their captain Vincent Kompany to yet another injury in the process.
Hardly the slickest warm-up to a World Cup.
