Wigan add West Ham's Marcus Browne and Fulham's Ryan Tunnicliffe on loan

Wigan have signed West Ham's teenage midfielder Marcus Browne and Fulham's Ryan Tunnicliffe on loan until the end of the season.

Browne, 19, yet to appear in the Premier League for West Ham after progressing through their academy, is hoping to make his Latics debut in Saturday's home game against Brentford.

"Marcus is a young player with great potential and will strengthen our group," Wigan boss Warren Joyce told the Championship club's official website.

"We have been watching him and had no hesitation in bringing him here once we found out there was a chance of something being agreed."

Browne made his only senior appearance for West Ham in a Europa League game against Astra Giurgiu in August.

Latics have also re-signed midfielder Tunnicliffe on loan from Fulham.

Tunnicliffe spent five matches on loan with Wigan in 2014 and joins Joyce's squad until the end of the season.

Joyce, who managed Tunnicliffe when the 24-year-old was coming through the ranks at Manchester United, said: "Ryan has got a terrific attitude first and foremost.

"He has been educated through the United Academy and he is a player I always thought would do well.

"He has built up considerable experience now in this division and we are confident he can be a really positive influence to the group in the immediate future."
