Bellator has parted ways with nine fighters, including several former headliners.
Chidi Njokuani, Hisaki Kato and Noad Lahat are among the names no longer under a Bellator contract, sources confirmed to ESPN on Friday. The MMA Report was first to report the news.
Also gone from Bellator's roster: Chris Honeycutt, Jarod Trice, JJ Ambrose, Carrington Banks, Mohammad Yahya and Nathan Greyson.
Njokuani (18-7), who headlined Bellator 210 last November, had dropped two straight. Kato (11-3), who drew buzz for knocking out Joe Schilling in both MMA and kickboxing, has not fought since December 2017. Lahat (13-4), a popular fighter in his native Israel, has won four of his last six fights.
