UFC 252: Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier 3 -- how to watch and stream, plus full analysis

MMA, UFC

The UFC 252 main event is being billed as the biggest heavyweight championship fight in the promotion's history, and that doesn't appear to be an overstatement.

Stipe Miocic will defend his title against Daniel Cormier in Las Vegas on Saturday in the third meeting in this rivalry.  In the co-main event, rising star Sean O'Malley will face his biggest test to date in Marlon Vera.

The main card begins at 10 p.m. ET on pay-per-view, which fans can purchase here. Prelims are on ESPN and ESPN+ beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Miocic (19-3) had successfully defended the heavyweight crown a UFC-record three straight times before he faced Cormier (22-2) in July 2018.  Cormier, then the light heavyweight champ, knocked out Miocic in the first round to become a double champ. They met again in August 2019, a fight that saw Miocic rally after struggling early.  He earned a TKO win in the fourth round to reclaim the belt.

Now comes the trilogy, which is expected to be the final fight in the career of the 41-year-old Cormier.

Just beginning his career is the 25-year-old O'Malley, who is considered one of the top prospects in MMA. He moved to 12-0 with a win over Eddie Wineland in June, one that only added to the excitement surrounding the bantamweight.  O'Malley blasted Wineland with a right hand that instantly ended the bout in the first round.  Now O'Malley faces Vera, who has won five of his past six fights.

Also on the main card is a heavyweight clash between sluggers Junior dos Santos and Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
