In a continued effort to improve television ratings, the NFL has discussed the idea of moving the 9:30 a.m. ET games played in London to a 1 p.m. ET start time, according to sources.
The reasoning would be to close a viewing window the NFL has created that extends the day and possibly detracts from interest in other games.
On days that have games in London, games start at 9:30 a.m, 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m ET.
Changing the London kickoff time would take away one of those added windows -- a move to combat what many believe to be an oversaturation of games and start times.
Plus, when a team like the Los Angeles Rams played in London, the game kicked off for their local market at 6:30 a.m.
