Detroit Lions activate Justin Coleman, release Bo Scarbrough

The Detroit Lions activated starting nickel cornerback Justin Coleman from injured reserve Saturday after he missed the team's past five games with a hamstring injury.

Coleman has one pass defensed this year, having been injured in the team's season-opening loss to the Chicago Bears. The Lions have used Darryl Roberts in the slot in Coleman's absence, but Coleman is expected to slide back into his starting role.

The Lions also signed tight end Isaac Nauta to the active roster and released running back Bo Scarbrough. Scarbrough had been injured much of the season but was activated last week and made inactive for the team's win against the Atlanta Falcons. The Lions signed running back Jonathan Williams off Washington's practice squad earlier this week.

Scarbrough had 89 carries for 377 yards and a touchdown in six games for Detroit last season.
