Swansea have responded to Llanelli's citing of their outside-half Arwel Thomas with a tit-for-tat action against Scarlets forwards Chris Wyatt and Mike Buckingham.
Thomas was reported by Llanelli for allegedly punching second row Craig Gillies during the Welsh-Scottish League match at Stradey Park on 23 December, which Swansea won 23-22.
Lock Wyatt and flanker Buckingham have now been pinpointed by Swansea for illegal use of the boot, Wyatt on two separate occasions and Buckingham on the other.
Swansea team manager Richard Moriarty said: "It is with deep regret that Swansea RFC has decided to cite the two players.
"We have tried to resolve all of the incidents arising during the recent match with Llanelli in an amicable way behind closed doors.
"As a club we are not in favour of the citing procedure both now and in the future.
"However, Llanelli's insistence on citing Arwel Thomas has left the club with little option other than to defend its own players."
The Welsh Rugby Union will hear the cases against all players concerned on 9 January.
Swansea's decision follows the 35 day ban handed to England captain Martin Johnson last Thursday after the Leicester lock was cited by Saracens, an action that led to calls for an independent disciplinary procedure in English club rugby.
