This is the big one - Corry

Martin Corry will lead Leicester Tigers out in Sunday's Heineken Cup final against domestic rivals London Wasps telling his team-mates to forget the two legs of their treble bid - it is all about the big one.

The Tigers have the EDF Energy Cup and Guinness Premiership final titles under lock and key but Corry is wary of the Wasps challenge.

We will be completely focused on Wasps," said the England No 8. "We are talking about a Heineken Cup final and it doesn't come any bigger than that. What's happened so far this season counts for nothing.

"All we want to do is put ourselves in these situations and when we get to a final like Sunday we've got to make sure we perform. What happened last Saturday will have very little bearing on the game on Sunday.

"The squad is not tired and we're really looking forward to finishing the year on a high. We'll start looking at what we've achieved at the end of the game. We've got to completely focus on our performance and on Wasps and then we'll look back on the season after that.

"The great thing is that there's a lot of history between us and Wasps, certainly over the professional era. We're probably the two sides who have been the most successful in that period and it is all set for a tremendous battle.

"We know the dangers Wasps pose and we know when they click how good they are. Conversely, we know that when we get it right, we're very difficult to beat as well."

And Pat Howard will make it Heineken Cup match No 30 - 14 as a player and 16 as Head Coach - when he gives his final pre-match Leicester Tigers team talk at Twickenham before sending Corry and his team out with the basic brief "this one is for the entire squad."

Howard has seen his Tigers complete those two legs of their treble bid but accepts that leg No 3 could be the toughest of the lot before he heads back Down Under.

For the record Sunday's game will be Howard's 75th in charge as Head Coach and he will be looking for his 50th win (four draws). As a player he made 96 appearances, winning 72 and drawing twice - picking up three Premiership titles, one Zurich championship and a Heineken Cup.

"This one is for the whole squad, this is about the squad," said the former Australian Test centre who was in the club's 2001 Heineken Cup final winning side in Paris, playing in all nine tournament matches during that triumphant campaign.

"I really want the selected players to represent the rest of the squad when they run out at Twickenham. I am extremely proud of what the players have achieved this year and I just want to win on Sunday.

"We have had to dig deep into our reserves and in the Heineken Cup in particular our squad strength has been vital. There have been some crucial singular involvements from players that have earned us two or three points and these guys won't even make the 22.

"Having belief in the players who will step in is important. It's a loss to lose Harry Ellis, but we have the squad strength to deal with that. Frank Murphy has started half of the Premiership matches this season and, if you believe in players and show some faith in them, they show up and he has been very good this year.

"The crowd at Leicester have been magnificent, the support immense and I thank them on behalf of myself and the players for turning up week in week out to support us."
