When Las Vegas Aces rookie Kate Martin unexpectedly heard her name called at the 2024 WNBA draft, she joined a franchise that loves the occasional prank.

Aside from early-season antics such as sporting South Carolina gear with several team members to their preseason game -- Martin wore a Gamecocks jumpsuit though she played for the Iowa Hawkeyes -- and received a pink "Hello Kitty" backpack, the Aces got another laugh from the rookie.

On Tuesday, Aces center A'ja Wilson posted a video on her Instagram story of the team pranking Martin for her birthday, having the team bus leave early and causing her to chase after it.

As the bus began to turn out of the parking lot, members of the Aces called for it to be stopped, allowing Martin to catch up and hop aboard.

Once Martin entered the bus, cheers and "Happy birthday" greetings erupted from her teammates as she made her way to her seat.

Martin, who turns 24 on Wednesday, is averaging 5.2 points, four rebounds and 1.8 assists per game for Las Vegas.

The Aces will match up with the Dallas Wings on Wednesday at 8 P.M.
