Ric Flair's wife, Wendy Barlow, confirmed to TMZ that the wrestling legend was taken to a hospital Thursday but said he is expected to make a full recovery.
"Due to ongoing health complications, Ric was taken to the hospital and is expected to undergo a procedure tomorrow morning, after which he expects to fully recovery," Barlow said in a statement issued Thursday.
On Friday, Barlow posted to Instagram that the procedure had been postponed until Monday.
Flair, 70, was also hospitalized in 2017 and was placed in a medically induced coma before undergoing a procedure after a bowel blockage had caused his intestines to rupture, which caused hypoglycemic shock, sepsis and multiple organ failure.
The WWE Hall of Famer has spent five decades in professional wrestling with a reputation as one of the most charismatic personalities in the history of that business. His popularity and personality have transcended into professional sports on many occasions, with athletes recreating some of his most famous wrestling promos and Flair often called on to serve as a motivational speaker.
