The 2020 NFL draft is in the books, and the Houston Texans' draft class is complete.
The draft, which had been scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, was successfully completed virtually from the homes of coaches, general managers and other front-office staff because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Here's a pick-by-pick look at how each player Houston has selected will fit.

Round 2, No. 40 overall: Ross Blacklock, DT, TCU
Take a look at some highlights of former Florida DE Jonathan Greenard as he tackles his way to becoming a powerful NFL Draft prospect.
My take: With their first pick of the draft, the Texans filled the need for an interior lineman. Last season after defensive end J.J. Watt tore his pectoral muscle and missed the second half of the regular season, the Texans didn't have much success getting to the quarterback. According to ESPN Stats & Information research, the Texans beat a blocker on 45% of snaps when Watt was on the field in 2019, but just 27% when Watt was not. Last season at TCU, Blacklock played 59% of his 552 snaps at nose tackle and was tied for the team lead with 3.5 sacks. The Texans like Blacklock's versatility and fit in new defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver's defense. Houston did not re-sign nose tackle D.J. Reader, who left for Cincinnati in free agency.
Round 3, No. 90 overall: Jonathan Greenard, LB, Florida
Former UNC offensive tackle Charlie Heck has a smooth kickstep and enough length to push speed rushers past the quarterback.
My take: After working on the offense during the first part of the Texans’ offseason, head coach and general manager Bill O’Brien spent Day 2 of the draft upgrading his defense. Greenard led the SEC last season with 9.5 sacks and 23 tackles for a loss, which should help a Texans pass rush that had just 31 sacks (26th in the NFL) last season. Greenard joins Whitney Mercilus, Brennan Scarlett, Duke Ejiofor and Jacob Martin at outside linebacker.
Round 4, No. 126 overall: Charlie Heck, OT, North Carolina
My take: After trading up for this pick, the Texans add depth at tackle with Heck. He will be a swing tackle behind Laremy Tunsil and 2019 first-round pick Tytus Howard. Heck started 12 games at left tackle at North Carolina as a redshirt senior last season after playing the two previous seasons on the right side. According to Pro Football Focus, Heck allowed 14 pressures in 2019, but did not allow a sack.
Round 4, No. 141 overall: John Reid, CB, Penn State
My take: The Texans added depth at cornerback, taking Reid with the No. 141 pick. Houston’s top three corners right now are Bradley Roby on the inside and Gareon Conley and Lonnie Johnson on the outside. Reid missed the entire 2017 season with a torn ACL, but as a fifth-year senior in 2019, he had 37 tackles and two interceptions. Reid is also expected to contribute on special teams.
Round 5, No. 171 overall: Isaiah Coulter, WR, Rhode Island
My take: With how deep this wide receiver class is, it's no surprise Houston added one at some point. Coulter, who ran a 4.45 40-yard dash at the combine, gives quarterback Deshaun Watson another speedy target. He joins a large group of receivers that currently includes Will Fuller, Brandin Cooks, Kenny Stills, Randall Cobb, DeAndre Carter and Keke Coutee.
