Stefon Diggs (hip) out for Vikings vs. Bears

MINNEAPOLIS -- If the Minnesota Vikings are going to have a 1,000-yard receiver this season, it will have to be Adam Thielen. It won't be Stefon Diggs.

The wide receiver is inactive for the Vikings' final game of the season against the Chicago Bears because of a hip injury that had him doubtful on the Vikings' final injury report of the week. Diggs, who had 20 catches for 325 yards through the first three weeks of the season, will finish with 84 catches for 903 yards in a year in which he missed three games because of injury.

Thielen, who has 960 yards, can become the Vikings' first receiver to eclipse 1,000 yards since Sidney Rice in 2009. He'll also be one of two former Vikings practice squad members on the active roster today. Isaac Fruechte, who was added from the practice squad Saturday, will dress with Laquon Treadwell out because of an ankle injury. The Vikings' first-round pick will finish the season with one catch for 15 yards on three targets.
