Kell Brook will defend his IBF welterweight world title against Frankie Gavin on May 30, it has been confirmed.
After impressively stopping Jo Jo Dan in Sheffield last month, Brook will make a quick return to the ring for the second defence of his IBF belt against Gavin at London's O2 Arena.
Brook said: "I never expected to be out again so quickly but I can't wait. I respect Frankie for stepping up, he has called for this fight for a long time and after he was given a final eliminator against Tim Bradley it made sense for him to take the challenge.
"I feel like I'm unbeatable right now and Gavin isn't going to be able to cope with my speed and power on fight night. The O2 is one of the best arenas in the world and it's an honour to headline a card like this."
Following his victory against Dan, Brook called for British rival and regular verbal sparring partner Amir Khan to step into the ring with him. However, despite promoter Eddie Hearn's preference to schedule a June bout between the pair at Wembley Stadium, Khan made it clear he is going his own way and looks to face Chris Algieri next.
Despite trading verbal barbs with Khan for the past two weeks, Brook's camp have moved quickly to secure the fight with Gavin. Brook shone last time out and he will no doubt be eager to put in another stand-out performance against England's first ever World Amateur Champion.
However, Gavin ensured he will be ready for his world title shot, saying: "These are the fights you want to be part of and are where I belong. I've dreamt of a world title and I will be 100 percent ready physically and mentally for Kell Brook.
"Of course it's going to be tough but I believe Kell is beatable and I've always felt that I have got the skills and the team to cause an upset."
Brook-Gavin headlines a night of boxing that includes three other world title fights. WBC lightweight champion Jorge Linares defends his title against Kevin Mitchell while Lee Selby challenges Evgeny Gradovich for his IBF featherweight title. Anthony Joshua MBE has his toughest encounter yet, facing former world heavyweight title challenger Kevin 'Kingpin' Johnson.
John Ryder and Nick Blackwell clash for the vacant British middleweight title with Scotty Cardle and Craig Evans meeting for the lightweight version. Dave Ryan also defends his Commonwealth light-welterweight strap against John Wayne Hibbert.
