Zach Brown, a four-star center and the No. 25-ranked player in the Class of 2017, will attend UConn, he told ESPN.
"Coach [Kevin] Ollie and the players showed me so much love and it's like a brotherhood," said Brown, the 7-foot, 260-pound big man out of Miami Beach Senior High School in Florida.
Brown is on an unofficial visit to Storrs this week, and took in the Huskies' 60-42 victory over Tulane on Tuesday. He selected UConn after also seriously considering Miami (Florida), NC State and Georgia.
Brown puts the Huskies on the board for 2017 in a major way, after Ollie and Co. put together a 2016 class that currently ranks No. 7 in the nation.
Incoming players in the '16 class include ESPN 100 players in point guard Alterique Gilbert (No. 28), power forward Juwan Durham (No. 38), sharpshooter Vance Jackson (No. 76) and power forward Mamadou Diarra (No. 92).
