ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Every time 2014 offensive lineman Jamarco Jones (Chicago/De La Salle Institute) visits a college campus, he makes sure to spend enough time in the car with his mother, which seems strange considering the 6-foot-5 tackle isn't a fan of cramped spaces. But it's the only way he's able to get the best feel for a city in a short amount of time when he's taking visits.
The two drive from one end of campus to the next, investigating every corner, stopping and parking when something looks interesting. And during his unofficial visit last weekend for the Michigan-Illinois game, he and his mom did a lot of sightseeing in Ann Arbor.
"We drove through the city on the way to the stadium," Jones said. "There were people tailgating a mile away. Everybody had their Michigan flags and gear on. It was pretty amazing to see how the community comes together for football games."
