Former Cleveland Cavaliers draftee Ejike Ugboaja has been elected onto the board of the Nigeria Basketball Federation.
Ugboaja, a power forward, was elected to the board as the Athletes Representative, gaining 15 delegates' votes.
The 31-year-old, a second round pick in the 2006 NBA Draft, never actually played any regular season games for the Cavs, but spent most of his career in Europe and last played for Mark Mentors in the Nigerian league.
He will be joined on the board by Adamu Deshi, who was elected as the Technical Representative with 26 votes, after his opponent, Peter Swore, withdrew just before the voting commenced.
The rest of the positions on the board will be filled on June 13, when federation elections are held in Abuja.
