In the second match, Pawan Sehrawat had eight points but but that was not enough as an all-round effort from Gujarat Giants saw them win by seven points.

IWL: Gokulam Kerala thrash Sports Odisha 8-0

Defending champions Gokulam Kerala FC routed Sports Odisha in the Indian Women's League today, producing a dominant display to win 8-0. Soumya Guguloth and Anju Tamang scored a brace each as Gokulam secured their third win of the season and moved up to the third spot on the table.

AIFF president talks about implementing 'Additional Video Review System' in India

Kalyan Chaubey, the All India Football Federation president has written to International Football Association Board (IFAB) to explore the possibility of India participating in the trial of the 'Additional Video Review System' (AVRS).

IFAB is an independent body which determines the laws of football and it seems they are conduction trials for AVAR. Although, it's not clear how AVAR will be different from VAR.

According to the AIFF statement, "the President's recommendation aims to consider the extension of the existing technical infrastructure to accommodate an 'on-demand' video review request from the referees through a multi-angle, multi-camera broadcast feed."

Chaubey added, "Our prime objective here is to reduce the margin of error by empowering match officials with the technology to assist in their decision-making. While we will continue to work to implement VAR, I feel that, to begin with, AVRS can be a great option for a country like India. AVRS would help us study the impact of the technology, train our match officials with the new concept, and assess its adaptation by players, coaches, and clubs alike."

IOA appoints Raghuram Iyer as CEO

The Indian Olympic Association has finally appointed a CEO. Raghuram Iyer, who was former CEO of Indian Premier League side Rajasthan Royals, was selected after a "meticulous selection process conducted by the nomination committee".

"His wealth of experience and proven track record in sports management and administration makes him an ideal candidate to lead the IOA in its mission to promote and develop Olympic sports in India," the IOA said in a statement.

The IOA had received flak from the International Olympic Council for not filling up the crucial post for nearly one year.
