AC Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma leaves hospital after head injury

AC Milan's teenage goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been discharged from hospital after suffering a head injury in Sunday's 0-0 draw at Chievo.

Donnarumma, 17, collided with teammate Luca Antonelli after 19 minutes at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi and, after complaining of feeling dizzy, was replaced by Christian Abbiati, who is 21 years his senior.

A statement from Milan confirmed Donnarumma had been released from the Borgo Trento di Verona hospital and would be "monitored in the coming days."

Naples-born Donnarumma has kept seven clean sheets in Serie A since breaking into the Rossoneri first team as a 16-year-old in October.
