PREDICTION: A 1-1 draw
FANTASY PICK: Moussa Sissoko
KEY STAT: Newcastle have scored more goals through their substitutes than any other team in the top flight this season (8).
- HULL CITY
Hull City should welcome back strikers Nikica Jelavic and Abel Hernandez. The duo were both forced off in the early exchanges of the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal at the beginning of the month with knee and groin injuries respectively. A warm weather break in Portugal has also proved restorative for The Tigers' backline, with Andy Robertson and Alex Bruce now available for selection, but Liam Rosenior (hamstring), and James Chester (shoulder) remain on the sidelines.
Provisional squad: McGregor, Jakupovic, Harper, Davies, Maguire, McShane, Figueroa, Robertson, Bruce, Elmohamady, Livermore, Meyler, Ince, Brady, Quinn, Huddlestone, Jelavic, Hernandez, Aluko, Ramirez, Sagbo.
- NEWCASTLE
Newcastle head coach John Carver hopes to have top scorer Papiss Cisse available. The Magpies were hoping to rush the striker back from the African Nations Cup, where his nation Senegal were eliminated in the group stages. Gabriel Obertan and Mehdi Abeid should be fit to return from thigh and toe problems respectively, but the game is likely to come too soon for Dutchman Siem De Jong.
Provisional squad: Krul, Woodman, Janmaat, Dummett, Santon, Williamson, Coloccini, Streete, Haidara, Satka, Anita, Sissoko, Cabella, Colback, Gouffran, Cisse, Ameobi, Obertan, Riviere, Perez, Abeid.
PREDICTION: A 3-1 win for Crystal Palace
FANTASY PICK: Dwight Gayle
KEY STAT: Alan Pardew and Roberto Martinez have met as opposition coaches eight times in the Premier League with four wins apiece.
- CRYSTAL PALACE
Crystal Palace midfielder Jordon Mutch is set to make his debut. Mutch is fit and ready to play against the Toffees but fellow new signing Shola Ameobi will need longer to regain match fitness after leaving Turkish side Gaziantep in December. Palace winger Jerome Thomas has picked up a minor knock and will be unavailable while Yannick Bolasie and Mile Jedinak are still away on international duty with Congo and Australia respectively.
Provisional squad: Speroni, Hennessey, Ward, Kelly, Mariappa, Hangeland, Dann, Delaney, Bannan, Guedioura, Mutch, McArthur, Ledley, Puncheon, Zaha, Gayle, Sanogo, Chamakh, Campbell, Gayle, Ameobi.
-EVERTON
Everton are hoping to have midfielders James McCarthy (hamstring) and Darron Gibson (knee), and defender Sylvain Distin (groin) back. Winger Kevin Mirallas is expected to be fit after being substituted with a hamstring injury soon after controversially missing a penalty in the goalless draw against West Brom last time out. Goalkeeper Tim Howard (leg) and midfielders Leon Osman (foot) and Steven Pienaar (knee) remain on the sidelines.
Provisional squad: Robles, Griffiths, Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Baines, Alcaraz, Hibbert, Garbutt, Distin, Besic, Barkley, Barry, McCarthy, Gibson, Naismith, Mirallas, Oviedo, Lukaku, Kone, McAleny.
PREDICTION: A 3-3 draw
FANTASY PICK: Andy Carroll
KEY STAT: Glen Johnson has scored three goals and has one assist in his last six Premier League appearances against his former club.
- LIVERPOOL
Striker Daniel Sturridge is likely to make his first appearance in five months. Sturridge, who has not played for the Reds since August due to thigh problems, is in "top-class condition'' according to manager Brendan Rodgers, who will decide on Friday whether to start the England forward or put him on the bench. Liverpool will also assess defender Mamadou Sakho, who suffered a back injury in the Capital One Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea on Tuesday.
Provisional squad: Mignolet, Johnson, Can, Sakho, Skrtel, Manquillo, Moreno, Henderson, Allen, Enrique, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling, Lovren, Lucas, Lambert, Borini, Sturridge, Rossiter, Markovic, Ward.
- WEST HAM
Sam Allardyce is hoping a number of his West Ham players can recover from minor knocks. The Hammers are looking for a Premier League double over Brendan Rodgers' side but could be without a host of first-team regulars, with Carl Jenkinson, James Tomkins and Alex Song all suffering with unspecified problems. Joey O'Brien (hamstring) and James Collins (groin) could add to Allardyce's defensive woes but Senegal's exit from the African Nations Cup may see Cheikhou Kouyate return in midfield.
Provisional squad: Adrian, Jaaskelainen, Cresswell, O'Brien, Reid, Demel, Collins, Jenkinson, Noble, Kouyate, Song, Nolan, Amalfitano, Downing, Poyet, Jarvis, Cole, Carroll, Sakho, Valencia.
PREDICTION: A 2-2 draw
FANTASY PICK: Angel Di Maria
KEY STAT: For the first time in their 853-game PL history, Man Utd threw away a two goal lead to lose when the Foxes beat them 5-3 in September.
- MAN UNITED
Midfielder Michael Carrick has been ruled out for at least four weeks with a muscle injury. Wing-back Ashley Young is closing in on a return from a hamstring injury, but midfielder Darren Fletcher has been omitted from the squad as his transfer to West Ham nears completion. Defenders Jonny Evans and Chris Smalling could return after missing the 0-0 draw against Cambridge due to unspecified injuries.
Provisional squad: De Gea, Lindegaard, Valdes, Vermijl, Blackett, Shaw, Rojo, Smalling, Evans, Jones, McNair, Rafael, Pereira, Blind, Fellaini, Herrera, Valencia, Lingard, Anderson, Powell, Januzaj, Di Maria, Mata, Falcao, Rooney, Van Persie, Wil
- LEICESTER
Matt Upson could make his first appearance in the Leicester squad after being sidelined since July with a foot injury. Kasper Schmeichel is still out with his broken foot but is on course in his recovery while Chris Wood is unavailale because of ankle ligament damage. Matty James is banned after his sending off in the 1-0 win over Villa earlier this month and Riyad Mahrez remains on African Nations Cup duty with Algeria.
Provisional squad: Hamer, Schwarzer, De Laet, Konchesky, Wasilewski, Morgan, Moore, Upson, Simpson, Drinkwater, Hammond, King, Albrighton, Cambiasson, Knockaert, Schlupp, Kramaric, Vardy, Ulloa, Nugent.
PREDICTION: A 2-0 win for Stoke
FANTASY PICK: Niko Kranjcar
KEY STAT: Queens Park Rangers have become the first team to lose their first 10 away games of a top-flight season since Sunderland in 1964-65
- STOKE CITY
Stoke will be without Bojan Krkic but look set to have fellow forward Mame Biram Diouf back in their matchday squad. In the same week as Bojan was ruled out for the rest of the season by the serious knee injury he sustained in Monday's FA Cup game at Rochdale, Diouf has returned to the Potters from African Nations Cup duty with Senegal and trained with his club-mates. Defender Erik Pieters remains unavailable as he recovers from a hernia operation.
Provisional squad: Begovic, Butland, Shawcross, Wollscheid, Wilson, Muniesa, Bardsley, Cameron, Nzonzi, Adam, Whelan, Ireland, Sidwell, Palacios, Walters, Arnautovic, Crouch, Moses, Diouf.
- QPR
QPR manager Harry Redknapp is expected to have both Yun Suk-Young and Richard Dunne available again. Yun has been out with an ankle injury and has not played since December 20 while Dunne came off against Manchester United with a groin strain two weeks ago, but has recovered. The match at the Britannia will come too soon for Sandro, who is close to returning from a knee problem, and Alejandro Faurlin remains out with a cruciate ligament injury.
Provisional squad: Green, McCarthy, Isla, Dunne, Caulker, Yun, Ferdinand, Hill, Onuoha, Kranjcar, Henry, Barton, Fer, Phillips, Hoilett, Taarabt, Vargas, Zamora, Zarate, Austin.
PREDICTION: A 0-0 draw
FANTASY PICK: Danny Ings
KEY STAT: 32% of the goals Sunderland have scored have come in the final 15 minutes of matches, the highest proportion in the top division.
- SUNDERLAND
Lee Cattermole will be missing once again. Cattermole, who has been struggling with groin and knee injuries in recent weeks, is still not fit and will be joined on the sidelines by fellow midfielder Jack Rodwell, who is suspended following his sending-off in the 0-0 FA Cup fourth round draw with Fulham last weekend. However, defender Wes Brown (knee) and winger Adam Johnson (calf) will return to the squad after sitting out against the Londoners.
Provisional squad: Pantilimon, Mannone, Jones, Van Aanholt, O'Shea, Brown, Vergini, Coates, Bridcutt, Gomez, Larsson, Johnson, Buckley, Alvarez, Mavrias, Giaccherini, Wickham, Fletcher, Defoe, Graham.
- BURNLEY
Burnley have no new injury worries ahead of their Premier League trip to Sunderland on Saturday. Matt Taylor was unable to take part in a development game this week as he continues his recovery from Achilles surgery but boss Sean Dyche is confident he remains on track for an imminent comeback. Stephen Ward (ankle) is making good progress and is also not far away from returning, leaving defender Kevin Long (knee) as the only long-term absentee.
Provisional squad: Heaton, Cisak, Gilks, Trippier, Mee, Keane, Shackell, Lafferty, Arfield, Marney, Boyd, Jones, Wallace, Kightly, Barnes, Vokes, Ings, Sordell, O'Neill, Reid, Jutkiewicz.
PREDICTION: A 2-1 win for Tottenham
FANTASY PICK: Christian Eriksen
KEY STAT: Harry Kane has scored six goals in his last seven Premier League appearances.
- TOTTENHAM
Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino has a fully-fit squad to select from. The Capital One Cup finalists have a daunting fixture schedule in the coming weeks and Pochettino will be happy to have every player at his disposal as Nacer Chadli and Nabil Bentaleb come back into contention. Neither had been injured but Chadli had been away after a family bereavement and Bentaleb is now back from African Nations Cup duty after Algeria were knocked out at the group stage.
Provisional squad: Lloris, Vorm, Friedel, Walker, Rose, Davies, Dier, Fazio, Kaboul, Yedlin, Vertonghen, Chiriches, Stambouli, Dembele, Paulinho, Capoue, Eriksen, Chadli, Lennon, Townsend, Soldado, Adebayor, Kane.
- WEST BROM
New signing Callum McManaman goes straight into the squad. Goalkeeper Boaz Myhill damaged his finger in last weekend's FA Cup win at Birmingham and is now out along with midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu (African Nations Cup) and defender Jonas Olsson (Achilles). Olsson is back in training after four months on the sidelines, but Pulis has conceded the Swede is not yet ready to be included in the squad.
Provisional squad: Foster, Pocognoli, Gamboa, Wisdom, McAuley, Lescott, Dawson, Baird, Yacob, Brunt, Morrison, McManaman, Gardner, Dorrans, Sessegnon, Anichebe, Berahino, Ideye.
PREDICTION: A 1-1 draw
FANTASY PICK: David Silva
KEY STAT: No team has beaten Manchester City more often in the Premier League than Chelsea (22 victories, same as Arsenal).
- CHELSEA
Chelsea striker Diego Costa will miss the Premier League leaders' showdown with Manchester City on Saturday through suspension after being charged with violent conduct. Cesc Fabregas (hamstring), Filipe Luis (calf) and Branislav Ivanovic (foot) are doubts after picking up injuries in Tuesday's Capital One Cup semi-final defeat of Liverpool, in which Costa faced scrutiny for an apparent stamp on Emre Can. Gary Cahill is expected to be a substitute once more, with Kurt Zouma continuing in defence, while Andre Schurrle and Mohamed Salah are likely to miss out as reports intensify of imminent moves for the out of favour pair.
Provisional squad: Courtois, Cech, Ivanovic, Luis, Fabregas, Zouma, Ake, Ramires, Oscar, Hazard, Drogba, Mikel, Schurrle, Salah, Remy, Costa, Matic, Willian, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta.
- MAN CITY
Manchester City playmaker Samir Nasri could have a chance. The Frenchman has missed the last two games with a calf injury but has made good progress and will be assessed. Defender Eliaquim Mangala will also have a shoulder problem checked while midfielder Yaya Toure and new signing Wilfried Bony are away at the African Nations Cup.
Provisional squad: Hart, Caballero, Zabaleta, Sagna, Kompany, Demichelis, Mangala, Boyata, Clichy, Kolarov, Silva, Nasri, Navas, Milner, Fernando, Fernandinho, Lampard, Aguero, Jovetic, Dzeko.
SUNDAY'S MATCHES
PREDICTION: A 3-0 win for Arsenal
FANTASY PICK: Tomas Rosicky
KEY STAT: Christian Benteke has scored three goals in four Premier League appearances against Arsenal.
- ARSENAL
Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez (hamstring) is doubtful but new signing Gabriel Paulista is in the squad after joining from Villarreal. England striker Danny Welbeck (thigh) is close to a return, but may not be risked, while midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (groin) is also expected to come into contention ahead of the north-London derby at Tottenham next weekend. Midfielders Jack Wilshere (ankle), Mikel Arteta (ankle) and Abou Diaby (calf) are all still out, as is full-back Mathieu Debuchy (shoulder).
Provisional squad: Ospina, Gibbs, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Chambers, Coquelin, Cazorla, Rosicky, Ozil, Walcott, Giroud, Szczesny, Monreal, Bellerin, Ramsey, Flamini, Akpom, Gabriel, Sanchez.
- ASTON VILLA
Scott Sinclair is likely to go straight into Aston Villa's squad. The winger will train with the side on Saturday before boss Paul Lambert makes a final decision on his inclusion. Forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has recovered from a hamstring injury while Joe Cole (also hamstring) is training but not yet fit. Defenders Ron Vlaar (knee) and Philippe Senderos (calf) both remain out.
Provisional squad: Guzan, Given, Hutton, Lowton, Okore, Clark, Baker, Cissokho, Bacuna, Sanchez, Westwood, Delph, Richardson, Grealish, Sinclair, N'Zogbia, Cleverley, Gil, Agbonlahor, Weimann, Benteke, Robinson.
PREDICTION: A 1-0 win for Southampton
FANTASY PICK: Dusan Tadic
KEY STAT: Southampton have won only one of their last six home Premier League matches where the opposition has scored.
- SOUTHAMPTON
Sadio Mane and Maya Yoshida will return for Southampton against Swansea - a match Jack Cork will not feature in ahead of joining Sunday's opponents. Mane and Yoshida have been on international duty but are back with Saints after early exits from the African Nations Cup and Asian Cup, respectively. Cork will not feature as a move to Swansea is close to completion while Shane Long (ribs), Toby Alderweireld, Victor Wanyama (both hamstring) and Morgan Schneiderlin (adductor) are unavailable due to injury. Sam Gallagher and Jay Rodriguez remain long-term absentees, while Emmanuel Mayuka is also injured.
Provisional squad: Forster, K Davis, Gazzaniga, Clyne, Bertrand, Targett, Yoshida, Gardos, Fonte, McCarthy, S Davis, Reed, Ward-Prowse, Hesketh, Tadic, Mane, McQueen, Isgrove, Elia, Seager, Pelle.
- SWANSEA
Swansea are without suspended pair Gylfi Sigurdsson and Kyle Bartley. But skipper Ashley Williams has recovered from a shoulder problem and Neil Taylor will return after being rested, while Jefferson Montero is in contention to start after marking his comeback from hamstring trouble with a substitute's appearance at Blackburn. Saints midfielder Jack Cork is set to become a Swansea player before the game but he will not be involved after completing his three million pound move from Southampton.
Provisional squad: Fabianski, Naughton, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor, Britton, Shelvey, Montero. Dyer, Oliveira, Gomis, Tremmel, Rangel, Amat, Carroll, Barrow, Grimes, Fulton, King.
