Dinamo Zagreb have said Manchester United's Angelo Henriquez is joining them on a permanent deal at the end of the season.
The 20-year-old Chile international is on loan with Dinamo for the season and the 16-times champions of Croatia say United cannot stop them signing Henriquez for 1.5 million euros.
Henriquez has scored seven goals for Dinamo so far after he was allowed to leave Old Trafford in August and Dinamo boss Zoran Mamic said he is confident of keeping the striker.
"Taking Henriquez depends on us, not on Manchester United," Mamic told HRSport. "They can buy him, if they buy him from us, but that won't be the case.
"We got him with the right of first refusal -- he cost us 1.5 million euros. We already signed the contract with him [beginning] from the summer. There's no dilemma any more: he's ours and that's final."
Henriquez, who was one of Sir Alex Ferguson's final signings, has never made a first-team appearance for United after joining them from Universidad de Chile in 2012.
His only Premier League goal came for Wigan in January 2013 during a loan spell in which, as an unused substitute, he won the FA Cup.
He spent last season on loan in Spain with Real Zaragoza and has scored twice in full internationals for his country.
Henriquez was granted the No. 21 shirt at Old Trafford but manager Louis van Gaal gave that to summer signing Ander Herrera.
